Crunch time for insurers on capital rules

The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commissions and the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission have signed a mutual cooperation Memorandum of Understanding.

By signing the MoU, the two commissions have expressed their willingness to cooperate in the interest of achieving their aims as regulators and agreed to assist each other to ensure stakeholder and public protection and to bolster market and financial integrity.

Samantha Barrass, CEO of the Gibraltar regulator, said: "The signing of this MoU is significant for us. It serves to enhance our commitment to establish international relationships with other supervisory organizations, in order to support and strengthen our regulatory work."
